I have a hard time believe that is real... That is a pretty big fail... anybody should be able to tell if the tires are spinning.

Well guys looks to me as usual stock gm clutches are weak, that's always been a weak spot for the hp. Not the first vid of that stuff. A t/a one exists almost identical. I've seen more than one zo6/fbody/gto spark/burn the clutch. I'm not slamming anything just it might need a upgrade to beat on it.

The only other deal could be awesome back brakes and he slipped the clutch. I burnt the back pads out on the 03 way before the fronts. I don't think a person could do that on a 03 unless he was really trying as they burn tires w/o trying..

actually the ls7 clutch setup is a pretty solid unit, higher HP fbod's (400-500+whp) commonly use the full setups for their stock feel and good strength...they are also pretty cheap...but i suppose holding the clutch halfway out and the pedal to the wood could fry any clutch pretty easily with 500hp...

Yeah, look at me. Hanging the front tire on a stock block, stock 700R4, and stock rear end at the track. Weaksauce Ddub. Till you show me YOUR 10 second slip, I'm just gonna put you into the category of every other nobody with a big mouth and a car that hasn't proved shit for me to worry about. Call me the same thing all you want. Doesn't mean I'm scared of your salvaged title penis extension.

Yea for me wasn't really Keith, it was sparky hanging front tires w his 305. I used to make mincemeat of those w my pos 85gt, evidently never ran a fast one... need some education I guess. I heard about the craigs list deal from the biggest camaro fan ever and me and 88gt got a chuckle... At least I vid and post what a pos my car is. It can burn tires for a full block... 1st, 2nd and 3rd. I'll bet he never was stupid enough to run a new zx10 and beat it from a dig going 130+ over a hill and win $. Don't believe it well here it is, in 4th gear for quite a while. So educate me.. Dig, roll on the street w the 305... I'd prefer a 40 mph roll.

I'll take your word tyler... if allgo gets one we'll find out. I saw one at chicago drag strip run a low 14 brand new w some dumbazz driving it.

LS7 clutch is pretty strong. I know cause I read a LOT about them, convincing enough for me to get one. Rev it too high, on the brakes too hard, let the clutch out, gonna burn it up. Gotta have brains.

I don't know what is funnier, the video or some of the un-educated comments. :P

I think it is kind of obvious everybody at that shop thought that guy was just another rich prick. I mean, it was obvious the smoke was not coming from the tires and they let him keep at it. It was also funny at the end 'cause I'm pretty sure he started to cry, lol.

I think your wrong, but I might be wrong to, I can remeber more then a couple of times at the track not reseting the traction control on my Z06 and getting in the burn out box and nothing would happen no tire spin nothing just bogged the motor down till I figured out what a reject I was for not re seting it, but going down the road with the traciton control on is when it still will barely spin and take power out....who really cares this guy in the vid is the biggest tool shed. :supz:

I knew a guy that lost 3 toes over that, cut the car through the roof. Cheap azz cast iron p/p. Why I spent 500.00 for a sfi cert. single disc setup for a pos d/d.

Ya thats what happens when you buy cheap shit. I wonder what setup that is, cause its neither ls7 nor ls1 clutch/pressureplate. Whatever it was definitely wasn't made to handle that power.

Now in most cases with TC it is completely defeatible in a car like a Z06 because its the same TC as the base model Vette, this is also true of most performance models of other cars. TC is basically (How I would describe it) ABS in reverse, of course what I just realized in this case is the Z06's brakes are miles better than the base Vette so it just might bog it down with the brakes. Either way TC isn't always able to stop that sort of thing.
