I searched and couldn't find this topic so I thought I would start it.
Where does everyone work and what do you do, or where do you go to school and for what?

I go to NIACC in Mason City for Automotive Technology and I work at Lyon's Toyota, also in Mason, in the express lube and helping the techs with small stuff like mounting and balancing tires, stuff like that.

My full time paid job is a paramedic for Iowa County Ambulance, but technically Marengo Memorial Hospital signs my paychecks which is now affiliated with the ambulance. But I also volunteer for Center Point ambulance, Walker Fire, and Troy Mills Fire.

I started at Sears, moved on to L2 before they brought Kia in. Moved over to Saturn. Left for VW and went back to Saturn, before they closed Saturn and brought Kia in. Became the Kia Master Tech and left to start my own shop, ATS Automotive. One of the best moves ever, I hated working at Lithia and the constant bullshit I had to deal with.

Full time student.
Sounds lame but taking 20 hours worth of classes leaves little time for work. I use to do factory work; fabrication, assembly and paint work before I moved and started going to school on unemployment.

A little over a year it will be awhile before I get team lead.

I heard what the place used to be like and it has tamed way down from that.

Well I was Customer Service at Target for well over a year then I moved to FYE (A music/dvd/electronics store) until they closed in november. Went back to Target and got laid off along with all the christmas help because they found out it wasnt in the store's financial budget to keep me on.

All the while I'm also a full time student at the local college too.

Target told me I could come back in the Spring/Summer.
Hoping I can find something else, really pisses me off that I was told they could keep me when I asked if I'd just be christmas help or not.

Yes back in the old days when we did work 12's we did a lil nap against the hot mill drives in mcc around 5am for a few min. There were several plc programs I modified for the slitters, pickel and milling line. I used to have all the ab and ge 90 series programs here at home. We put in all those dh cables and crap. I helped do the tandem mill upgrade. Still got the prints.

you have your thumb in a lot of stuff then. pickel 1 has been completely redone and it has a slc 5000 and the funny thing is PMX wont pay for a licens for rs logix 5000 for the electricians so we can't see the program. well anyway where you there when hot mill had dual steckel drums i heard that was a nightmare.

also we are back on 12s now and people still take naps
