so once i get the TA buttoned up engine wise this winter im looking at picking up these wheels...i will likely put some MT et street radials on the back and im thinking about either having my bogart D10 front skinnies powdercoated or painted black to match (for the track)...how do you guys think these would look in 17X9.5 all around? if someone gets bored a photoshop would be sweet! im thinking the black would be pretty different on the red, but would fit in pretty well with my black accents...lmk how you think it would look! Thx

I like the black idea, but c6z wheels in 17s look like really gross imo. They have to be atleast 18s to look decent.

17's will give you more sidewall. Better for DD, better for handling. I think you will want staggered, though. Not as much as your drag wheels, obviously, but aren't the stock wheels staggered?

the stockers arent staggered, i just wanted to do 17's all around so i didnt have to buy new/more expensive tires..

17s 8)

but i'd go 8.5- 9.5 front & 1" wider in back. Get asymmetrical tires instead of directional tires and rotations are still easy. Good all seasons are the Fusion HRz & Yokhama Avid TRZ.

I'm basing by staggered guess on the assumption that the car tends to oversteer, but if it tends to understeer than the same width is probably the cheapest option.

I vote for 17s I was gonna go 17s front and 18s in the back for my Stang but when I looked at 18" tires I was shocked at how much more they were than 17s. Both drag radials and 'street' tires are significantly more. Even if 18s do look better (again everyone has an opinion) 17s would be a better move, and dk is right on the sidewall comment, it will handle and ride worse.

yeah i dont think the look of 18s in the back is much better than 17's all around anyway...but im not uberly concerned with handling or anything because the car doesnt have a front sway bar and is probably getting qa1's and shit eventually...as far as tires, i have Kumho asx's or some shit? dont really remember, they are high priced though (front)...and i will be running either the new nitto nt05 or MT et street radials in the rear...

do you guys think the bogarts powdercoated black on the front will go good with these wheels in the rear?

I like them, and the pic with 17's all around look's best IMO. Staggered looks good and all, but not for me.

the bogarts would look good with those when they are powdercoated

but, when youre going down the track pullin 11-10 1/4 times nobody will really notice lol

Ya I dont like staggered wheels on fbodies. Looks good on vettes. 17's would be better if you are using them for drag wheels, but I still think the 18's look better.

I believe the nt05 is more of a wet/dry traction tire. The nt05r is the new drag radial i think.
I found a really cheap place for tires for the nt05 which is what im planning on running.
