So I was off pulling a hoist out of the middle of first ave (don't ask) and a CSA I work was pulling out a brake job that needed the pedal pumped up and hit my Macsimizer. Te box is dented in the lower left side and the bottom 2 drawer are bowed in the middle. That thing costed like 7 grand needless to say I was pissed.

One reason I have like 4 cheaper tool boxes instead of a single nice big one...

That sucks though man!

If it was cheaper it would have buckled the metal. Unfortunately big boxes are needed and now I am way running out of room even with a side cabinet.

Nice try it's not that bad I think its time to cover the dent with a side box now to scronge up another 1495 to do it

Yeah I hear ya, I dont know how much time I spent with a damn clay bar cleaning over spray off my snap on box!!!! Sucks to hear that Deimos, but at least you can still use it and not a mangled up mess. All too often I hear about people driving off without pumping the brakes after a brake job..

Like that time you drove that cavalier OVER the drive on lift and into my tool box and the alignment rack Jakey?!

Deimos
11-22-2009, 07:52 PM
It was a nuetral safety switch and a sunfire. Not my fault the damn thing didn't work...

Drifte
11-22-2009, 07:57 PM
Not but it was comedy to see you half through the window feet in the air car driving off the lift. Some raccoons got into my folk's shop and knocked my stacked box clear over doing way more damage.

pics or its false

Deimos

of what happened years ago is not false I did a cps on a sunfire and started it up to check the oil reached in it, but it was a stick and not an auto. I didn't pull it in and didn't pay close attention and the rest was one giant learning experience.

Well even if the box isn't destroyed, are they going to reimburse you for the damage? Sorry to hear that Jake, we spend a ton of money on tools and a box only for shit like this to happen.

I've heard that story before too, I think Don told me about that. But maybe it was Colton.

sorry to hear that man, really sucks

my box cost over 11 grand, one time some dick head decided he wanted to eat a pop tart over my stainless top (and left the mess).....needless to say words were said and no one in the shop touched my box again
it kind of sucks good tool boxes have to cost so much, ......i hope it does not cost too much to fix you tool box man.

i have seen and tested almost every brand of tool box and NOTHING holds a candle to MATCO, i personally have a snap on and its a flimsy pos (and i paid big $$ for it)...we all tried standing in our drawers and the matco did it without a hiccup, all the other boxes snapped like twigs...

Deimos

You will never catch me owning anything Matco I hate them. Personally If pretty sure my top drawer holds more weight than u fidy. I have owned two snap on boxes and use a 3 bay at my second job. I LOVE my Macsimizer and Joshy boy is well aware of that fact. I was uber pissed when it got hit by a car.

Dude Bowtie bubba was suppose to warranty my digital micrometer for like 2 years now, no joke. That thing was like 300 bucks they saw me coming a mile away. My Mac Plasma Cutter in 3 years was only working for 3 months. But Macto just rubbed me the wrong way from day one I got one tool by them its a 14mm mid size swivel I found in the back when I was doing shocks on a thirdgen camaro.

Drifte
12-01-2009, 07:58 PM
Thats tang's swivel and hes been looking for it for 5 years.

...I remember, he'd always swing back to it when a tool was missing
"AN WHERE MY SQUIGGEL?!"

How so? Id put a snap on krl series also known as masters series or the new epic series box up against anything out there, everybody has there own experince with diffrent tool dealers and there product, some good some bad, I respect anybodys opinion on brand preference, but I can show some diffrences in a snap on box compared to other brands, now Im not posting this to start a tool box prefrence argument those can get very heated and olny piss people off. but fiddy before you make a decision on who has a better tool box you might wanna check out these videos, also if i remember you said you had hlais for a snap on dealer, that might explain your choice right there, If ya have the time watch these video in full there good and full of olny facts.
