I am wondering what a decent price would be for a 1992 Nissan 240SX. bone stock and in pretty good shape. I'd say 8/10 all around, it is dark greea with beige interior, 5-speed trans, and honestly that is about all I know right now... I know more details would help but I don't have them right now so I am looking for a ball-park figure here

Someone is wanting to trade me his 240SX and his RX7 for my SuperCoupe, RX7 is only worth about $1K~ in its condition (GREAT exterior/interior but motor is out and in pieces) and I am asking $3500 for the SuperCoue but i'd take $3K... think that would be a fair trade if he brings both the cars to me (he's in MO) I am OK losing a little because I bought a car for $75, traded it for a vehicle I put about $800 into then traded THAT for the supercoupe and it came with about $4K worth of parts...

Bone stock, $1000.

Sure you could find some fanboi and sell it for $1500-2000, but you are going to be pushing it and it will be a long sale.

but look for rust in these key areas... especially in the 240

A pillar
Strut tower area
Driver side and passenger side wheel well
Frame rail where downpipe would be on both sides.
floor pan
rocker panels near the rear wheels

its bad in those areas... and that will make a $1500 worth $100

'86 I believe... I'd just be wanting the rolling chassis and the good title so if I end up with it, i'd let the drivetrain go pretty cheap...

Gonna build another 5.0 RX7? I always wanted to do one but haven't been able to find a good one for cheap. Maybe I should finish the car I have :banghead:

probably not... IF this goes down, the 240SX will be a drifter as I have been wanting to do one of those for quite some time now and the RX7 will probably just hang around out back, might do something with it sooner or later... may be ram a 540 BBF stroker in there LOL...

I checked into that once.... a nice FD roller alone is gonna run $7K~... I think if I was going to drop that much on a rolling chassis it would have to be some late 60's early 70's american muscle!

Personally I'd think an FC or a Wedge would be cooler and much more cost effective.

the FD body is sick looking, one of my fav. pure supercar status. to bad the rotorys are not very reliable or else i would love to have a 3 rotor FD with i nice 42R on it. yummm

I'd kill for an LS FD rx7. But ya, those puppies aren't cheap. I really want to do a 240z with an ls engine, some works meister or emotion cr wheels, slammed, fender flairs, gunmetal with all trim black. My JDM side is showing...

I wanna do one with a 5.0 or 4.6 (I'm a Ford guy :suspect: ) I'd even put a shitcan muffler on it to enhance the look. People would look at it and wonder why it sounded so badass.

i have also read that the ls engines fit in the cars like a glove, people have been floored by the compatability, that would steer me that way as well....i have never took on a project like putting a different engine in a car so the little shit freaks me out a bit lol

only thing to really worry about with an LSX FD is the wiring and now days even that is fairly easy with the amount of information and crap floating around...

Nissan 240SX is a very superb car. It is a fastest car of Nissan. It looks very decent than any other cars and of Nissan also. It looks very attractive in Red color. It is very expensive car as it is a sports car of Nissan. It's maintenance is also high.

It's not the motor that's the problem, it's the owner. Tuning is king with a rotary, do it right and it will run for a long time.
