We went to KCIR for test and tune yesterday, for some reason I couldn't make more than 18lbs of boost, but until I had degreed the cams it took 21lbs to run that et and mph so it made a huge difference. I didn't edit the video, Enjoy!

Nice work Ryan... Hasn't changed much really around kcir since I was a kid. We lived about 10 mi away by the stadium. Plenty quick for 18#. Btw that's the 69 there in like 73 in my avatar ran like a 14 flat at 101 w street old dogbone m/ts. Plenty fast those days now we have 8 sec street cars... :supz:

Thanks everyone, we are going again next weekend to see if I can meet my goal of 8.50's.

As for next year I'm destroking it 3.75, changing to an aluminum GT block, porting the heads and intake more, building 1"7/8 headers, adding a roller thrust bearing and going with an external oil pump as the internal pump won't handle the newly added rpms. Im just trying to make the motor happy at rpm (9000 or so), then I can take advantage of these big exhaust housings and huge heads with such small cubic inch.

Video is awesome!! Cars running good and consistent now it looks like, thats most of the battle right there.. With that mph a 8.5 is definetly possible

What gear you running in that thing? sounds like you have LOTS of room left on the top end

It has 3.27 in it, I thought about changing it but as I up the power the converter becomes looser. For some reason it didn't want to make any more than 18lbs of boost, not that we tried for more than 20, but with the ams1000 we had the boost vs co2 pressure right on before I degreed the cams. If I had to guess after degreeing the cams the back pressure has increased and will require more than a 1:1 co2 vs boost pressure. I need to get back to the track or put the back pressure sensor back in to see if this is the case.

I took it out last night and made some adjustments to the ams and hit 27lbs on the street, the injector duty cycle was over 100%. But the load on the street is way different than at the track where it doesn't smoke the tires at 120+.

If the weather cooperates we will be there Saturday, the gates open at 12:30 and if it gets rained out they will retry on Sunday at the same time. It would be great to see you again Rob!
