A&A D1SC procharger
100% stock longblock
Stock transmission (M12 6 speed)
Stock differential with both hardened output shafts
Stock gears
Stock rear suspension
mind you its an ls6 (only differences from ls1 are SLIGHTLY better heads, cam, and intake) but seee cobra boys, the ls cars can run 9's on the stock longblock too with a little boost ;) oh wait, and also the stock trans, suspension, gears as well!

And dont forget more cubes, and less weight too!!! Did ZO6 vettes come with superchargers?? Didn't think so. BTW C5 and C6 Z06's are among my favorite cars. No hate intended.

no they are identical cubic inches and blocks to the ls1's (5.7) and i dont think that car had very extensive weight reduction done..

Rob Z over on the east coast has a stock shortblock NA head/cam c5z run in the 9's with a 6 speed. He is magic behind the wheel and those tracks are fast. It might be a faceplated (dogbox gears) trans though.

i think he was talking about more cubes than a cobra. pretty good 60' with stock suspension.

I always say vettes are a fine platform cause they weigh lil stock w 50/50 dist. pretty impressive running 12/13# boost w 100 oct.. Yea a 6 speed faceplated or not takes some decent skill def more impressive than a auto, they are few and far between. vette and maybe viper has a decent irs for a american car rest of them suck more or less for drag racing esp being porkers. Funny cause vette is a caveman irs but it works and is strong w expensive upgrades. top of line is $4199**

All the c5 vette diff upgrades are just polished stock stuff that anyone can distroy with high power levels. The only proven upgrade so far is switching the c5 diff over to a c6z or zr1 diff. You need the rear subframe also. It's approx 1" larger ring gear and has better attachment to the subframe.
I have a some upgrades in mine with 3.90's, but wheelhop can kill any IRS built or not.
