help me diagnose.
2000 Chevy Blazer 2 door 4x4.
while driving, when the accelerator is pushed and the car is running above 40mph the car gets a deep vibration. Not super heavy but it is constant. When the pedal is released the vibration goes away.
When the car is coasting above 40 mph and i put it in neutral and press the gas pedal the engine just revs as normal with no vibration.
I'm thinking its the tranny mounts... but i feel like I'm missing something. Driving to Iowa tomorrow so i need to figure this out today. Ask questions, shoot ideas, give me anything. thx.

could be a Ujoint as well- might explain why you only feel it when its under load. can you get under it and inspect the mounts and Ujoints?

You'll have to pull the drive shaft to see if either one doesn't move smoothly, which is most likely your problem.

grab that puppy and move it up and down. It should be tight and by rear I mean the you joint right next to ur rear diff.

i agree, depending on how bad it is you could try rotating tires and see if anything changes. where's our tire man at jake?

Dude you should know rotating won't help. Well at least if neutral helps the vibration. I hate tires but I gots to stick to what I'm good at. Although I am getting really good at 3.8 timing cover gaskets on caravans lol.

I inspected the tranny mount and shook the fuk out of it... its solid as can be, so I think it is the U-joint... but the vibration is only very slight, so i'll get it fixed when i get back to iowa tomorrow!
thanks for the help... Anyone have a press i can borrow? =P
