SAM (school of automotive machinists) put together a 433 lsx that made 1000hp all motor, the students did a lot of the porting, etc heres the full story http://www.planetlsx.com/buzz/1_000_hp_ ... Boost_/110 (http://www.planetlsx.com/buzz/1_000_hp_LSX_Engine_Build_-_Without_Boost_/110)
the previous motor went 8.75 with 900hp....pretty cool shit, but at 15.5:1 i would expect it to move haha..

Me neither... heck a pos old skool 60's fe ford did that already... Lol.. Who knows maybe a gm 409 mtr did it too... For a engine advertised as God's gift it should make 2k hp at least.

Me too, you know the ones that after riding for so long the center ceases to exist on the plastic wheel.

the winning setup for downhill is rubber front with plastic rears! that way you can drift the corners but still steer

Ya but the smoke from the spinning front wheel gets in my eyes on the burn out. Stings.

proper eye protection is key when wheeling in the burnout box or rain.

i doubt there is a serious dropoff or anything, it seems to be a pretty flat torque curve from the chart shown...

Well seeing as how the engine spins up to 9600rpms, I doubt its a problem. Intake runners look fairly long too

Yea that's looks impressive but it's a full out race engine at 420 some ci. w a solid roller cam and cnc heads and +15/1 compression. Now a stock old skool nhra stock class n/a 427 ford fe has run well see here... 3500# 67 fairlane mind you...Stock like unported heads and flat tappet cam... I told you guys he makes good stuff...That's w a 245# cast iron block. Not the 120# alum as it isn't legal in nhra stock. And that's at stock compression of around 11/1. Pump gas range. There is more than one way to skin a cat imo.. Apples to oranges but figure more hp w cnc, roller cam and compression. Old skool can be plenty good w new parts. And btw the lsx has a clutchless liberty tranny. Def worth some et. and speed. That would never fly in nhra stock classes. Why I put in a no no in the runoff. Still it's good... hp is hp.

Robert Pond’s newest AA/Stock record is 9.68 seconds
@ 138.79 mph set at Southwestern International
Raceway in Tucson, AZ on March 7, 2009.
