Here is the start. Just got the collector fabbed up and tacked together. Decided to snap a few pictures along the process so you can get an idea how much work really goes into making one of these. Obviously I skipped all the math, jigs, and cutting it takes to get the pieces just right to fit. The collector is just tacked up, so welding/porting/blending is all yet to take place.

On to the pics:

Well been workin hard to try and get this done and keep up with other things going on. Here are a few pics. It's not completely finished obviously but pretty much 90% done.

That looks like one of those Tial housed garret turbos from ImportEvolution...

collector is hotness, weld it before giant cat knocks it down.

Are those Tial housings lighter than the cast housings?

The collector is looking good imo.

Yes the housings are much lighter than the cast ones, by 33% they say. My 42R style Tial is very light for that size of turbo.

I wish Tial made a housing that would work for the holset super 40's, the cast holset housing are pretty heavy.

there is only one stock fan on the inside of the engine bay, and yes I will be getting a slim-line fan. I could run the stock fan if I really wanted to but I'd have to re-make my intake to clear everything. I also got an aluminum radiator to put in and I don't want to bolt the stock ugly fan on with it.

The runners are as close as they can be to equal length while being the shortest route. The #1 runner is slightly shorter then the other 3, but the other 3 are all within an inch or two of each other. #1 is about 1.5-2" shorter then the others. So it's pretty close to being equal length.

Yeah manifold is way nice looking man!! Im always impressed with the tubing work I have seen, what did you use to match the tubing up going into that collector? looks like it was done on a machine

You mean the collector itself? That was just a band-saw with a jig we made. We also made a jig to cut 90* elbows at any angle consistantly.

you guys looking into possibly mass producing some of these? or are ya sticking to custom order work?

I didn't steal their design. I had a lot of those tags made, and that was the only practical place to put it. It just adds that little touch and I like it.

I was thinking of producing these, but the Evo market is pretty saturated. I might dabble in a little bit and see if anyone is interested.
