We were up till 4:00am sunday moring working on the camaro, the car did not even have interior in it untill 3:00am! new engine with new mods, new clutch, bars, chute, 5-points, we had not evern drove tha car yet, just wanted to get a few easy passes on the new engine(no juce) and get it re-tuned.
1st attempt, broke the front of the driveshaft off and twisted up the torque arm!
with everything going on, and hurrying to get the car together we forgot to put in the driveshaft loop!!!!
I think it snapped on the launch and fell apart on the 1-2 shift, thank god we were not trying to go fast and have it happen on the big end of the track, or it could have been much worse.

Thanks to Tony for hooking me up with a new driveshaft and torque arm the same day!!!
still plan on going to CFR friday

honestly we don't know how fast it will trap with the new combo, even with the old setup we never made a full pass. And I have had this car stall on me twice threw the traps, and let me tell you power brakes with no assist don't work too well, and the end of the track comes really fast.
Its more for just in case, We expect to see 140 somthing traps when we spray everything

are you still going friday?

hope you get the bugs out of it! if my car runs, there will be no time to tune.

saddler has my driveshaft, and I called EVERY transmission shop in town to find a tailshaft housing, priced ranged from $400.00 to $165.00 It gos without saying witch one i bought. It should be here in the morning

and yes brian I could use help, im going to try to remove the extension houseing in the car, somthing ive never tried before, and should be done with the trans out and on the bench......we will see how that works  if it works it should cut my work in half easy.
