So 11.49 or faster you need a roll bar and 9.99 or faster you... well..... I don't have to worry about that...

Going to be buying a weld in 8-point cage from S&W RaceCar and wanted to make sure it is going to be what i need since I don't know what you need as far as tube material, diameter etc... I don't plan ot get too carried away so I will really not need a full cage but I figure the 8pt roll bar should suffice. This is a weld in kit by the way, keeping all stock interior I hope!

8pt: $169.95 - 1986-1991 Mazda RX7, 1-3/4 x .134" wall EWS tubing

So, I assume they wouldn't sell a kit that isn't "track legal" or whatever but I just want ot be 100% sure that will allow for anything in the 10.00+ ET

i remember Scott telling me about running 10's in his old blue 'stang with a weld in cage that was just sitting in the car. if youre not running too terribly fast, i dont think they look much past seeing that there is a cage in the car at all. i've heard of some tracks having the roll bar rule at 11.99 or faster, but no one ever said a word to me about it...

The S&W cages should be up to par with standards. You should be good to go.
