HAWKEYE DOWNS SPEEDWAY PRESENTS
The 2nd Annual "Prelude to the Dirt"
A Mods vs. B Mods
MODIFIED ¼ MILE RACE @ HAWKEYE DOWNS
Friday July 31st 2009
Pre-Register & Pit Passes:
1. No Registration fees. (Still must fill out registration for mailing of checks at pit window).
2. Pit pass is $25
Rules:
1.) Racing on the ¼ mile track.
2.) No sway bars.
3.) No Aluminum heads.
4.) 55% max. Left side weight, with driver in driver's seat and helmet on.
5.) Any G-60 treaded tire.
LINE UPS:
1. All drivers must check in ASAP, in the "Larry Kemp" tech barn with scoring officials.
2. 24 Modifieds will start the feature race. 25 lap feature race.
3. 8 Modifieds per heat. Draw for lineup. 8 lap heats.
4. Top 4 qualify into feature race through the heats. Redraw for feature lineup.
5. Last chance race (if needed) will be balance of field. 12 laps. Draw for lineup.
6. All non-feature racers will receive $50.

Thats the flier for the prelude that runs this friday, and the next coming Wednesday is the Deery Brothers show at Hawkeye Downs which will include dirt late models racing on the 1/2 mile track.. If you've never seen it before its a pretty good time. and no they dont put dirt on the track they simply race dirt cars on the asphalt.
