Anyone know of any scheduled listings of some local autocross events in october or later? Looking for less than an hours drive away

I've been wondering this too.

I'd love to take my Formula out to an Autocross

fuck that, I've run an automatic. There were guys up at CF that would show with FWD buicks and oldsmobiles. Regardless of the car, it's still fun, and you still learn.

I've had interest in it before, and I have the right tires to do it with in the Camaro. It needs fixing right now before Armdrop live though, so I'm gonna be taking it easy till then.

Hawkeye downs this weekend. Its usually a small lame course though. I would recommend going to newton/des moines events.

Looks like you only needed one gear for that course.

Unfortunatly for me, no, I needed 9 gear changes for each 47 second run.

wow, that is a extremely small course.. Didnt they used to do it out on the track? I would like to try that sometime but on that small of a course I think the tank of a cobra with hard ass tires would be really tough

The Des Moines area usually has better ones, bigger courses at newton speedway and the DSM fairgrounds. plenty of room to build some speed in a cobra :)

next one is on a go kart track in Marshall town. That would be the place to go. a lot faster and its a road course so no cones. if i wasnt heading to Sturgis that day i would be there for sure!
