I'm still driving my first car... over 7 years later. It still runs great and I can't ever seem to justify getting rid of it. Like you say; lots of memories in it and I feel like I would end up wanting it back if I ever got rid of it.

It's a weird sentimental thing I guess. Plus... it's free. No monthly payments :)

Selling my first car was a mistake because the car I traded it for ended up being a lemon and causing me alot of headaches. Odd thing is that I bought my first car with 170k miles on it and traded it at 220k and it was still running strong (all I did was tires, brakes and change the oil) and the car I traded it for had 49k and I didn't even keep it for 1000mi before I HAD to get rid of the money pit.
Good luck getting it back, even if it is kinda odd like other people said 'its the memories.'

I bought a 98 neon with 199k on it and drove it til 300k and traded it off on a escort with 75k on it and the ole lady blew it up two months later.

I kinda miss my Daytona. But I guess I got rid of it at the right time, supposedly the guy who bought it blew up the motor a week or so later.
