View Full Version : 91 talon TSI AWD low miles (67,9xx)

07-10-2009, 11:44 PM
Okay I'm going to relist this car.

http://s249.photobucket.com/albums/gg23 ... ed%20park/ (http://s249.photobucket.com/albums/gg232/PIMking/talon%20at%20weed%20park/)
its a 1991 eagle talon awd turbo with 67k original miles. 5 speed.

The vehicle has no rust. but some small dings on the passenger side couple of chips in the hood and rear bumper chiped. great condition for being a 91

I Just replaced the ecu and had it cleaned and socketed and the caps replaced. Its good as brand new.

The bad

The oil filter housing needs changed (I have the part and gasket)

drivers leather seat has a tear.

Now before you say $4500?!?!?! there is over 10k in this car. So if your willing to invest a little bit of time and money it will be a great deal for you. The main reason why I am selling this Is that I am moving down to Alabama later this month to go to school so I need to get rid of this car.

I spent some time with the car today. changed the oil filter housing. Changed the oil. Flushed the coolant.

I wanted to take care of that before I let it go. I just felt bad pushing a simple problem on someone else.

Actually gt40s are the highest flowing, best horsepower factory sbf head ever made other then origional boss motors. The only thing I hear that 358 doing is breathing perfectly with instantanious throttle response, nice lopey idle, and almost 400 ponies! The only choking i hear is you coming up with one legitimate reason why gt40s shouldnt be on a windsor

stock for the lose maybe thats why

a majority of box stock aftermarket heads will outflow gt40s. send them to thumper and theyre almost on par.

First of all, this is a daily driver that knocks down 21mpg with ur foot out of it and runs low 12s on et streets. This isnt an all out street strip car nor built for maximum power. Its a daily fucking driver! How can u possibly compare a factory casting(even those fully worked my thumper performance), to an aftermarket head? I can pick up gt40s all day long for 100 bucks a set. Lets see you buy afrs, trick flows, or edelbrocks for that! Or any other aftermarket heads for that matter! Not everyone dumps everything they have into every car they have. This car is built for fun and cruisability and those gt40s flow just fine for 425 hp and under. We know how to build cars in muscatine! If youd like to argue with that, you can drive ur car to muscatine, and find out for urself! Hope you dont mind getting walked all the way down the 1320!

100 bucks a set is hardly the going rate on a set of gt40s haha. Shit if someone handed me some AFRs for free I wouldnt say the normal price is $100. Better throw all those 100 dollar gt40s online and make some cash.

GT40s arent normally as budget as they appear after a valvejob and other freshening, especially w/ Ps.

302 parts make 302 power and thats the long story short.

I could give a shit less about going to Muscatine. You're getting butt hurt and Im not sure why.

08-05-2009, 04:15 PM
For one this is a 358ci and the heads are ported and polished with a valve job.
