im starting to keep my eyes open for a powerwheels car or truck for a little project. i'm checking craigslist and what not, but thought i would check here to see if anyone had any younger siblings or other family who have one they'd like to get rid of. im not all that picky on what kind of car or truck it is, just tell me what you got.

24V with a decent motor & controller is 6hp+, with retard torque, so you can run a pretty steep gear ratio.

yeah, and it needs to be charged. fuck that. and youd be running twice the torque and weight through the gearboxes which are already prone to breaking when a small kid is riding it.

i think i need to pick up an electric golf cart and tweak that. Already has the good controller, decent motor. I remember working at forumula fun indoor go cart tracking. We'd grab the carts with NO power restrictions and just tear it up, and usually tear up one of the kevlar drive belts with it. One of them had simulated gearing so you had to push a button to "shift". Bike sprockets and chains work well for driving a bit of power.

Look what a buddy and I stumbled upon this morning. He seriously told me about how he had this when he was younger and how the girl that lived up the street (which he's now engaged to) had a pink Vette. Said he'd follow her around on it. Guess the ladies do like big trucks...even at 6 years old.

wow this thing bring back wayyy too many memories. i had this beotch when i was a little steve. lol my dad was always working with his trucks throwing crap in the bed of it, so i would go around and pick up leaves and twigs with my bigfoot truck and use the tailgate as a seat and what not. also i noticed my dad using bondo alot in his trucks and one day i broke the antenna off the passenger door of that big foot truck, i ran inside and grabbed a blue crayon and smashed that thing in the antenna hole. haha good as new to me

Dustin, I'm trying to get him to sell it, but he's getting all nostalgic about it and whatnot. Normally when he has something like that I want, I have to hound him for 6 months before he gives in. Doesn't make much sense beings how he'll never do anything with it but use it to grown cobwebs. If he does sell it, BGJohnson and I are going to build a pair I think. He just bought a house down the road from mine and we're gonna terrorize the East Des Moines Grandview Campus with them. My wife is already bitching about it, so it's gotta be fun.

BUMP! i am still looking for a TWO SEATER powerwheels. dickhead from des moines told me several times his F150 seated two small children- but i just spent around 6 hours of driving and $40 in gas to find out that he in fact had a single seat truck. awesome way to waste my time and money.

fuck yeah man. i sat in the Hummer and its a lot more comfortable fit than the mustang. im gonna have to build a seat for the stang, but i think eventually i'll try to build a truck, probably a gravedigger if i can ever find one. if you had a complete running quad, you could probably just work on chopping the frame to be short enough for the Hummer's body and basically just set the body on it. that'd be easy and fucking awesome. suspension and all...
