We decided to take the evo to the track on friday night to midnight madness..... I started the night babying the car out of the hole and not shifting hard... mind you that I havent been to the track for 4 years and have never had experience with AWD

first pass was a 9.68 at 78 mph with a 2.47 60 ft (ugh) again, was taking it easy

second pass was a 9.45 at 79 mph with a 2.36 60 ft.... started shifting a little harder

third was 9.37 at 76 mph with a 2.2 60 ft

fourth was 9.35 at 76 with another 2.2

then I started getting into it a little harder

5th pass was 9.17 at 78 mph with a 2.1 60 ft.... this was my personal best recorded time at the track.. previously held a 9.2 18th mile time in my 4psi turbo integra....

and last pass.....

8.72 at 80 mph with a 1.8 60 ft........

as you can see i got more comfortable with the car and having it on the track. the car is stock other than turbo back exhuast and open filter..

I had a good time and hope to get back out with it

I will try to get pics up asap

I was there too white gtp with cowl hood and my friend had a blue gtp. Your times were a lot better then mine i only ran three times and my 60' was 2.4 and it kept misfiring so i ran a 9.6 The last time i was at eddyville it ran a 9.08 at 79 with a 2.18 60'

what do those times mean in 1/4 mile talk?

I have no idea but i know my car should have ran faster. Downpipe hitting the swap bar making false kr FTL

you cannot just translate 1/8 mile times to 1/4 mile times..... some cars are better topend...some better out of the whole...

in theory... that would be roughly low 13s to high 12s in the quarter

1/8 mile E.T. divided by .65, gets you real close.

Get some cams, boost controller, and a flash and it will run mid-low 12's all day.

dont just pick a pulley, get a scanner/tuner and figure out what your setup can handle...thats a good way to kaboom..

Yeah dont want that to happen lol so im getting a 3.3 pulley, full exhuast with headers, pcm tune, 1.9 modded rockers with ls6 vavle springs and comp cams retainers along with colder plugs and tb spacer to so it doesnt KR and make it run safe.

Did you buy that gtp in iowa city? And isnt a 3000 stall a little too big for a supercharged car i thought the 2500 and 2750 were the perfect ones anything bigger is only good for turbo and n/a

Yeah got it at IC the lady didnt take care of it very well under the hood so Maintenance was a must for tranny and engine and clean up the engine bay up it was nasty but looks very good now and runs better. the stock air filter was clogged and it felt like it had no power so changed some stuff before the track and ran fine. Yeah i think a 3000 might be to much for my mods ill do like a 2750.

do you really think you'll notice much of a difference between a 3000 stall and a 2750?
