Heading out to chicago tonight with TBtalon to watch the redline time attack event going on this weekend in Joliet. Going to support the release of the AMS TA-X car built over winter it is state of the art!! Its running in the unlimited AWD class. Will get some pics and video for you guys. here is the Final assembely of the car. Sweet video.

yes it was at the autobahn country club, I have pics have not had time to upload them yet. Ken blocks car was seting there cause crawford performance was running their orange STI.

how did AMS do? and how did the new 4b11 hold up to that abuse?

It appears the 4b11 wasn't handling the 600whp tune they had on it previously, as Martin was saying the car was down on power. They were having a bit of problems with overheating also. They were having to make a lap, then make a cool down lap, and so on.

The crawford STI ended up taking the fastest lap time that day, which was a few tenths above AMS's that day.

It was fun to say the least, we got to see an Evo blow his headgasket and keep running it hard a few times around the track lol...and we also got to see the throttle get stuck on a very quick sti. Was a good time besides the humid weather.

Ya AMS was on 450whp and only a few tenths behind the Crawford STI, that was driven by tarzan Yamada, A famous drifter, Formula D Judge and pro Driver.

I think its funny though that AMS with 130whp Less than The STI, still was within tenths. On a side not Ryan Gates AMS sponsored car won his class by over 2.3 seconds!
