When I was in South Dakota I had my car sent to a body shop locally here in muscatine to fix a rust hole and a nice scrape mark from the previous owner rubbing the drivers rear quarterpanel onto something like a light pole.

When I got back a kid across the river had some Flik 17" rims that I heard he was going to sell CHEAP. So I got his number before another buddy of mine (Black STI) got his grubby hands on them since I HATE the chrome wheels on it.

Keep in mind that I want the car to look good with out it being a ricer.

So here are the before pics of the rust.

Here is what the wheels looked like before I bought the new wheels.

I will get some more pics up tomorrow. I will get the car washed and take some good photos.

Oh yeah I paid $175 for the wheels and one single small scuff mark.Yeah the tires need to get replaced but they should last for the rest of the summer.

Body work was $275. Two holes patched and repainted.

Anyone going to car show at sycamore mall Friday? I will be up there.

FYI there is a open (dsm track day) on sunday the 7th at cordova. I was there last year and there was only 30 cars.

As many runs as your heart/car can take. Mostly mustangs and firebirds and such.

I got the camber fixed today, I had my rear drivers caliper hardwear take a crap so I had a pad smaking against the rotor and making a nasty clank clank noise. So our local crappy oreillys ( i know guys that work there) ordered the crap two days ago and the new guy some how sold that kit to someone else in town. I wasn't happy so I had to drive up to Iowa city to get it from the autozone on hwy 6..

Then while I was under there I took out the upper control arm because some reason the idiot that did the alignment didn't tighten downt he bolt and the camber bolt rotated around so my camber on the drivers side was f'd up.

These pics were from Friday, So the camber is messed up. I also have to make an air damn to direct air to the radiator so I dont run around 205*-210* on the highway (today going to iowa city about 65 mph)

$275 you say for the rust? Where was that done?

My 92 1.8L laser has about the same amount of rust except on both sides.

Considering we payed $900 for it - I know it may not seem worth it but it was my first car, and I loved it, and I really do want to keep it around - and getting rid of the rust on it would be a major step.

I got it done at Haskins body shop here in muscatine. Hes an old school type of guy with patches and does a kick ass jobs. Hes not one of the new guys that put glass on it and then paints it. He cuts then puts new metal in the car.
