Travis Pastrana's Vermont Sports car, wow!!!

A old friend of mine from school works for Vermont Sports Car which is the shop that builds and maintains rally cars for Ken Block and Travis Pastrana. He stopped into CR last night without much warning driving the hauler for Travis's car. Showed up at H+W for the car show later on in the night. It was pretty neat to see how well and simply engineered those cars actually are, everything was easy to get to and quick release or pins. There was spares for everything in the trailer, shit loads of rims and tires and body panels, lots of carbon fiber. I never have been much into Rally racing but I think I might have to check out a race sometime this year "Since I get a VIP pass too :supz: " I know some people have pictures, I didnt have mine on me. I spent probably 1-2 hours just checking the car out, fab work, all the electronics, I was pretty amazed by it all. I never really paid much attention to Pastrana or rally racing ever but it was kinda wierd laying in bed knowing theres a International Championship rally car parked outside your window.

Yea before you stopped over last night, Jesse text me and decided to rub it in that he saw his rally car and stuff. Sucks!! would have loved to see that.

It was pretty cool looking, not to fear though they are restricted engines as far as mods and hp. No mo than ricky or tb talon range. I asked. Thanks Scott to invite him down, it was most cool, I've always liked the crash videos. I could see this getting pretty big here in usa.

yeah it was pretty cool of him to come down and show us that stuff after a long day on the road.. I cant remember the numbers he told me that the engine made, I believe a 34mm restrictor, and it made like 400hp and 550ft lbs of torque. Thanks for throwing up pictures Dustin, I think they race in colorado in a couple of weeks but Im not 100% sure.. There should be a couple races closer to us later in the year, Missouri and wisconsin I think. I would have told more people he was coming down if I actually knew!! I found out he was coming into CR about 20min before he pulled in. That rally car team has really had me thinking about stuff lately, there would be a very good chance if I wanted a job on the team that I could get in.. It would almost be a dream come true to work for a race team as good as this one, but on the other hand it would be a nightmare to take care of my 6 vehicles/race cars, new house and all the other personal stuff that goes along with it... VERY VERY tough decision to say the least..
