In New York for 3 WEEKS! (PICS ADDED!) At Clipper Wind Farm

work is sending me to cohocton, New York.... it up north and in the middle of no where... I will be the Quality Assurance guy at the wind farm to make sure our blade rework stays on track. I will be working long days but i will try and get on here as much as i can and keep you guys updated on my trip and i will upload pictures of my adventure!

yeah. Im sitting here right now just hangin out. Took a few pics on my drive in. I will up load them tonight. Its pretty cool up here.

The roads are smooth and a blast to drive on. I have a Caliber and it sucks! fucking thing is slow and to climb hills i you have to have it at 3/4 of the way to the floor and it chills at 5,000 rpm.. My drive had me on twisty road with hills and dips and cut backs, and the little side country roads are better maintained then our iowa highways! makes me miss the bike and the WRX!

hopping to climb one tomorrow! Saposed to storm so I dont know if i will be able to climb one, and if it is rainy i wont be let on the roof. But i plan on getting a picture from up top by the end of my trip!

Niagra falls is only 2 hours away too.... might do that sunday

First- I almost hit a deer.. everyday. some people call people DEER

Second- I almost ran over a cat or pussy cat...

Third- Im not making this up! I came within inches of running over a BEAVER!

300ft where i was standing the blades reach higher. The roof only felt about 10ft X 10ft not much room up there and the turbine sways back and forth so its kinda freaky....

well this town sucks so i decided to drive two hours to Niagara Falls. It was really neat and im glad i went. Total cost for me: $3 :) company paid for gas. Enjoy the pics

If I would have thought about it, I would recommended the boat ride down to the bottom of the falls, that's a really fun trip.

yeah i was going to cuz it was only like 15 dollars but being alone and surrounded by Asians and Indians i would have no one to talk to and i wanted to be back to the hotel by dark.... the boat ride did look cool. I wish i would have brought my passport too so i could go into Canada!

I didn't know you had a passport. When I was there it was before they required one to go into Canadia. I still haven't gotten one either.

yeah i got a passport 6 months ago when i thought i was going to London... turns out no one went and we laid people off instead. :(

if i would have had a copy of my birth certificate i could have used that and my ID. yesterday was the last day for that... now you have to have a blown up ID (something like that) or a pass port.

That sucks. Idk if you could see, but on the Canadian side closer to the top of the falls, when I was there that part of town was constantly soaked because of the mist. Its weird and cool. I'll try to find some pics.

yeah the wind was blowing into my face so i got damp and i ended up picking a day when it was only 50 degrees out... i was cold and wet but it was neat! i really wish i could have gotten on the Canada side. I was to say "EH" and "Aboot" in Canada! o well i guess another day.

its amazing how far away you can feel the spray! you dont even have to be close and you can feel a mist a few hundred feet away too.
