Well you know me always looking at old vs new.. Here's a dyno run of a 69 talladega w boss 429 on a dynojet... Final numbers...
The final pull was 644.29 hp @ 5800 rpm and 672.90 tq. @ 4600 rpm to the ground.
Went 179 mph on the rollers @ 6800 rpm
with 3.31 street gears
Too bad we don't have a complete dyno chart heard these were peaky due to port sizes being so large. Of course they ran a 3.00/3.25 gear approx. w the toploader. Still compared to a newer 427w or a 42x lsx it isn't too bad n/a. Big heavy piston/rods in there for 500 mi runs. 4.36 bore x 3.59 stroke. So much for the idea they were hi rpm mtrs like the new ones. Now in 69 these dominated in nascar way it was.
