Camaro did 13 sec. flat with a MT driver. All in all it looks like the the Mustang and Camaro are pretty close except for the quarter mile. Challenger didn't fare so well. More show than go. Challenger and GT close in quarter mile performance.

The SS was never meant to compete with the GT500. There comparing apples to apples not apples to oranges. Maybe we should compare the ZR1 to the GT500 if you wanna play it that way. Top Vette to top Mustang. If GM doesn't belly up and come out with the Z28. Then you could probably match that with the GT500. But then you probably wouldn't be happy about that either.

As far as looks I still hate the front end. The rest looks good to me though.

$38k sounds pretty pricey for the R/T challenger- the SRT8 i was looking at was only a few thousand more- for the money id rather have the 50hp and Brembo brakes...

:bigthumb: well put sir.

Shame the SRT8 breaks their limit, would much rather prefer seeing the SS compared to that. O well though, still a good article. All 3 of them together is sexy, wish it was a bigger picture so I could make it my background.

I would think the gt500 would kinda be a inbetween kinda car.... talking zr1's would be like adding gt-40's into this

yea thats what I mean by its kindof a in between thing.... theres not really any direct compitition with it. What would a supersnake do against a Z06?

Muscle Mustangs and Fast Fords got from 10.8 to 11.0 with ET streets on a "stock" Super Snake.

Wow that's a lot better than I ever saw. Guess I never really looked to into it.

I think the 700hp supersnake drops the warranty doesn't it?

Overpriced, overweight. All of them. Kinda harsh but that is the facts imo. I would have lot more interest if they weighed 3400 tops and cost 35k max. I bought my 03 for 31k w a s/c. And it's a pig. Big 3 or what will be left needs to go back to drawing board. I don't see ppl lining up to buy a camaro besides old guys that had a 67/69 and want to re live it. Like Dustin, young ppl will say too much money... then there's the insurance cost. Heck I w no practice outran any of these 3 w a $75 oem ford truck pulley at old cfr on street tires, me driving no less. So imo they are going backwards, just simple facts of money, weight, performance.
