Nice bike, how many CC's does that have. Think I saw one like it in CR today on E ave.

They are dirtbike bars.
599cc, I've only seen one other one so far, and it was a black '04 in CR with an aftermarket windscreen.

shinkos are not a leaning tire.... they are amazing in th u soft for dragracing but if you want to go leaning you need shinko slicks or some bridgeston triple battlax bt-016's they have three compound levels softer the closer to the edge for leaning absolut superior tire to all on street leaning

Thanks.
The dirtbike bars are wider, and give a more upright riding position than clip-ons or clubmans, but are slightly lower than my stock bars. Being wider gives much more leverage on the bars (I've dragged the kickstand on a straight section of road without leaving my lane). Being taller than clip-on's gives a much better view of the road ahead, as well as a more comfortable and versatile riding position, at the cost of aerodynamics. Basically the bike is being idealized for touring, commuting, and hooliganism, but not straight line top speed. I even take it off road in places my car could never get to, but I need a skid plate for the headers. The bar pad stays, because it is a nice place to rest my chin when I do feel like revving up in 6th (even though I can only get 140 in a full tuck).
As for the Shinkos, they always feel greasy until the temp gets up in the 80's I still haven't dragged pegs with both of them on, and with the BT56s I had on I thought I was going to need to buy new curb feelers. Once the weather gets warmer they will probably be nicer, but I'll need new tires by then. I'll probably try a set of take-offs from Dead next, but will most likely end up on BT56s again.

Hehe, dead next. I hope it keeps the CT nice.
As for 140 full tuck, we need to line up so you can make me look good for some footage.

0-130 is damn quick, after that though... Well, I can't get over 130 sitting upright. If I geared it down 2-3 in the back I could go faster because I'd be in my power range up there, but I'd also have higher revs at cruising speeds, and I like cruising.

the shinko is not a leaning tire that is correct. If you dont lean them though they wear fast in the center :(

Well, if you guys ever need some tires I've got a guy who can get you a full set of track takeoffs for a 100 bucks. Nice and worn down on the edges but the centers are like new. :bigthumb:
