Just got an eprom. got a question

like i said i have an eprom now for my 91 talon. it has a burnt chip in it. but dont know whats on it. is there a way to tell what the actual chip is just by the coding on it? the code is as follows :
78/60/awd boost
450cc 1g mas

Hmm does it say were it came from. I got a ecu, and I knew the chip was a Keydiver chip, and I talked to jeff, but mine has alot more info on it.

Wonder if someone with a chip burner, can pull up whats on it. Anyone in the CR area that does chips. If you get a new one talk to Jeff @ keydiver, he does awesome. His dual image maps with e85, and 93 are supposed to be awesome, if I keep my car thats what im going to.

I talked to Jeff for mine. From what I can tell on yours its basically stock. Im trying to think what the 78/60 would stand for but Im tired. You can send it in to Jeff, but you will still have to pay full price for the new chip. Most likely you will need your own. I may have a stock oem eprom chip if your car is still stock it could run off of that.

Yea I was trying to figure the 78/60, Yea a new chip from jeff is 125$, and then 20 from then on out!

I'm stumped to lol. Tried comparing it to the sheet my chip from Jeff came with but nothing seems remotely close.

well im lost also...the guy i got it from tried telling me he found out the rev limitier was raised to 7800...and it had a 2 step put in it...i know it doesnt have the 2 step on it.

It may have the 2 step on it, but you dont have the wire run to enable it. I would not run that chip on the car. I would just keep using the stock ecu until you know what your changning and then order a new chip.

well i got ahold of the guy i got the eprom from. he said he had it looked up and found out it has the following:

7800 rev limit
6000 no lift to shift
4500-5500 stutterbox
450 injectors
1g mas

Sounds like a good stock setup pretty much what my other chip is. FWD stutter boxs are alittle lower usually. On DSMCHIPS.com explains some of the ideas, and give some suggestions to whats good for what.
