Ya hennessy isn't really getting much out of that car. Its like a $5000 upgrade too, and they picked up like 20-30rwhp. Theres others that have picked up double that for less than half. I'd love to see a zr1 with a driver that wasn't garbage

not too terribly impressive- werent there guys running similar times in stock Z06's?
slow ride

Guys will run mid 10's in these bone stock in good air out east come spring time. C5z's have gone mid/high 11's and C6z's low 11's high 10's all stock. Not quite so fast around here due to higher density altitude most of the time.

Well like said 136 tells me 10's soon. Hopefully someone run like a 10.6 to put rangers old record to rest.

A couple runs were in the 137 and 138 mph range. Thats low 10's hooked up no problem..

well beings it already has the new style eaton blower on it im sure there isnt a replacement version out yet. I would bet the kit consists of very minor intake/exhaust/pulley/tune mods...

Ok had to go look up the new vette to see just what it was. The z06 has a 7.0l 500hp and the zr1 a 638hp 6.2l I think I would just go with a zo6. Unless their is a lot more to it? ls3 on z06 and ls9 on zr1, them bottom lone vette comes with a 6.2l version of the ls3. Besides all the bells and whissles a zo6 seems like the best option. "mo replacement for displacement" ... Right? Basically thinking out loud here but up per dollar I'd go z06 with bolt ons, hell a super chargers a bolt on!

Btw at 14 psi that's almost double the n/a c.i. minus efficiency losses. The reason they did a 6.2l version for this is cylinder liners are thicker to take the boost/airflow/combustion heat and pressures, however u like to think. It is forcing in almost 2x the n/a airflow minus efficiency loss.

^ Gotcha, I was wondering if the 7.0L was the same block but really bored out..or atleast something like that. Now I need to calculate my little 2.0l's displacement at 25psi.

LS7 on Z06, LS3 is 08+ C6 vette :goodman: . And yes, they went to a 6.2L in terms of durability. The LS7 is still a small block, so it has a few weaker points compared to the 6.2L which has thicker cylinder wall gaps. It is more than just a few bells and whistles though. Read some comparisons on the ZR1 vs Z06, and you'll be surprised and how much more tame, yet capable, they made it. Sorry to ramble but I do love ZR1s. They make GTRs looks like a computer put on a bigwheel
