I'm looking to add some subs in my truck, 2000 silverado. I can get a box for 2 12" with the following specs of Air-Space is 0.72 Cu. Ft. Per Chamber and its a down fire box.

Now my question is how specific do I need to be when looking for an amp and subs? I currently have 2 12" subs but their probably 5 years old but still good and an amp thats a 300 watt or so if i remember correctly, will this setup be fine? I dont know any more specs on either other then their not anywhere near top of the line.

Or, is it possible to spend 200-300 for 2 12" subs and amp and have a pretty decent setup?

Also, how hard is it to tie this in to a stock radio? Would prefer to not get an aftermarket one as their is nothing wrong with the stock unit so I see no reason to spend the money and change it out.

You need a 2 channel amp with hi-level inputs. You can get new equipment at a good price if you search enough. I like to send people to elemental designs, their based out of Newton iowa. Your amp needs to be able to handle the subs. Subbs are 4 ohm you need an amp that is 4ohm stable per channel (never have seen one that isnt).

You either need more info on the stuff you have (google) or get some new stuff.

I have a set of Kicker L5 D4ohm if you'll like for $160 there pretty much new hardly ever used them.

Is there any good way to run my Ipod through my Mustang's Mach1 Sound System?
I used to use a Cassette in my Alero but the Mach1 only has a six cd changer and no audio plug either.

I tried a $35 AM/FM Transmitter that worked, but just didn't give the quality a CD / straight hook up does.

I took it back of course.

Is there a better transmitter for a higher price or something I could use to get the clear/clean sound I get with my CD's or my old Cassette-Ipod hookup I used in my Alero?

Get yourself a new headunit. Pioneer makes reliable headunits with built in ipod connectivity. Then you also have better control of your sound and probably more power. Any other option wont get your the sound your looking for.

Nope not yet. You must mean mach 460 like I have, 6 cd dash unit w amp for tweeters, then 2 amps sitting under deck lid for bass. I'll check again on a tx, got a usb one for a mem stick but its crappy imo any music over 128k bit rate locks up. There are adapters also to connect into the harness even the villager etc. w remote cd deck..Just $.
