Its not quite perfect or even done for that matter but you get the idea..

man, looks like a ton of work just to have pipes out the back- why go through all the trouble?

Well basically I was just bored, figured with a little time and for less than 200 bucks I can have 4" aluminum tail pipes. Seemed like a good idea at time I guess.. and with the dumps I had on it, it was soo loud I couldnt hear the radio.

Not trying to be a dick here but why??? Why would you cut that car up? Never seen your car in person but I cant imagine it not being nice.

pipes look really nice. Do they come back off? lol, they look reaally hard to get out.

Yeah as of right now the tailpipes are really easy to take off, there is V-band clamps just in front of the axle. but I dont have the floor put back in yet either. Once I take off the mock-up coilovers and put on the real ones the rear end should sag enough that it will be very easy to remove. Both 4" tail pipes weigh about half as much as the steel x-pipe with stainless mufflers!! Thats pretty crazy, Im thinking about building the entire exhaust out of aluminum except for the headers.

The car actaully isnt cut up much more than it was already, it had mini-tubs and the majority of the floor was already cut-out to weld in the ladder bar X-member "yes a foxbody with ladder bars" I did remove the trunk just to make it easier to work on and to brace the parachute mount a little better, and add bars to mount balast. and the fact the car started out as a rebuilt title of a 4 cylinder mustang, it is a nice car now but not even close to original so might as well cut it up. It still retains all the stock suspension mounting locations in the rear of the car "barely" so if I want to race stock suspension I could.

I took a video of it last night running with my girlfriends digital camera and the sound didnt come out all to well. I will have to wait till I get a nice cam that I can hook up to the computer, or just wait till spring time and hear it in person. I was just out in the garage taking pictures for ebay so I figured I would take a few of the car as well. I am still woring on finding the perfect "exhaust tip" design for it so I am waiting to finish it till I get a few opinions on it, I will take a pic of what I got picked out so far later on today. Oh yeah I forgot to ask who on here is good with polishing aluminum and would be interested in polishing this stuff?? I did a short section of it and I learned I really hate polishing..
