View Full Version : Where to get timing tensioner for dsm

i need the hydraulic tensioner for the timing set for my 91 talon. i searched high and low thru parts shops, and noone can even order them for me....can someone here lemme know where i can find one? sooner the better...bout time my dsm starts to move under its power again. thanks in advance folks

Taking a guess but unless your just looking for the tensioner. I'd guess the tensioner would come in a timing set you can buy for your vehicle.

i cant see the pic of them...but yes i need the actual hydraulic tensioner for the timing belt...not the tensioner pulley...but the hydraulic one...i dont have a advanced auto parts around here so i couldnt check with them

i got mine in an entire timing kit when the builder was assembling my engine. i think the whole kit was around $120 for a new pulley, belt, and tensioner.

well i could get the pullies...but they couldnt even find the tensioner for me..so im kinda s.o.l right now....must find. haha

ok...i took trevors advice, and quite being a tight wad. and bought one of these damn things....60 bucks after my paypal gift card...not bad...should have this damn dsm up and going by this weekend

Do things right...and do things once. That's how DSM's go. You cheap out and you'll pay for it in the end. Remember that ;)
