I believe he was being sarcastic and using the antagonistic point of view that everyones been holding against the american auto industry's finacial issues. It was said it was only a matter of time before the world market followed in a ripple affect.

Honda has been neglecting it's most supportive market since 2000, so hopefully this little crunch will realign the leaders with Sochiro's original goals.
What will be interesting is how Honda and Toyota cope with this change. Both are in better positions than any of the big-3, but the strategy they follow will be interesting.
One major thing I already noticed is that Toyota, which only cut profit expectations (not a loss), already shut down HAND DRIERS to save money...GM's CEO still flew his private jet while well into a landslide.

Well I'd rather not buy any new car than lose my house. Plenty are losing houses so if that, no one is buying anything that costs $. Bottom line, we kept many in jobs, if we have no jobs then the world house tumbles.
History 101, you remember when rome collapsed? It was the dark ages for all. They kept everyone in business.
Our frosting business is up, seems ppl can't afford to buy premade cake. That's how bad it is. Cereal up too, ppl can eat cereal for dinner cheap. # don't lie.
