Hi, I'm new here as you can see. I'm a mitsubishi person having owned a FWD-T DSM for a while. Been living in Cedar Rapids for a few years, and I thought I'd ask my question here.
I want to refinish a set of wheels for my car this winter, but I need to strip the old powder coating off. I've been trying a paint stripper, but it's not working very fast. I called rainbow and they wanted $120 plus per wheel to blast and sand them. Is there any place locally that can chemically strip off the powder coat for cheaper? I'd rather invest in my own equipment to do the job myself than pay a lot for someone else to do it.
